Mystery shrouds man’s death

KHARAR:Udham Singh, a resident of Rampur village, Fatehgarh Sahib, who returned from Saudi Arabia around a fortnight ago, was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Sawara village on the Landran-Chunni Road on Tuesday evening.

Udham Singh, a resident of Rampur village, Fatehgarh Sahib, who returned from Saudi Arabia around a fortnight ago, was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Sawara village on the Landran-Chunni Road on Tuesday evening.

While the Kharar police have registered a case of road accident under Sections 279 and 304-A of the IPC against an unknown person, deceased’s brother Rana Singh alleged that his brother was murdered.

Rana told the police that when he got the information that his brother had met with an accident, he reached Sohana hospital where he came to know that his brother had already died.

When he checked wounds on his brother’s body, he came to know that someone had assaulted him. He said the motorcycle on which he was coming was perfectly all right and there was no sign of any accident on the two-wheeler.

He alleged that his brother was murdered and they would file a complaint with the police giving details about those behind the murder.

Meanwhile, the Kharar police have requested the SMO of the Kharar Civil Hospital to get the post-mortem of the deceased conducted by a board of three doctors to ascertain the cause of death.

Kharar Civil Hospital SMO Dr PP Ghuman said when the board of doctors started the post-mortem examination, they decided that it should be done in the presence of forensic experts. SO, the body had been shifted to Mohali for post-mortem.

Kharar Sadar SHO Bhagwant Singh said the next course of action would be decided only after the post-mortem report.
