As many as 15 amateur, but accomplished singers, from tricity mesmerised the audience at Tagore Theatre here on Tuesday.

The artistes served the audience with soulful melodies by legends, such as KL Saighal, Suraiya, Mukesh, Hemant Kumar, SD Burman, Mohammad Rafi, Geeta Dutt, Kishore Kumar and others. The programme commenced with recital of Ai qatib –e- takqdeer and Jab dil hi tuut gya. Daughter-father duo — Harshi Kaushal and Rajesh Kaushal— presented two solo numbers.

The twelfth edition of musical bonanza, ‘Yaad kiya dil ne’, organised by the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi presented old melodies, under the direction of Atul Sharma.
