Multani Mal Modi College bags Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Trophy for sixth time

Multani Mal Modi College won two general sports championship trophies, including “Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Trophy” (Boys section) and “Rajkumari Amrit Kaur Trophy” (Girls section) for the year 2016-17. 

The trophies were awarded by Prof BS Ghuman, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala, to College Principal Dr Khushvinder Kumar at Sunny Oberoi Arts Auditorium, Punjabi University, during its annual sports prize distribution function. 

Modi College won the trophies for maximum participation and highest points in various inter-college sports competitions. On the occasion, Dr Khushvinder Kumar congratulated along with Prof Nishan Singh, HoD, Sports Department, congratulated the winners. 

They assured that the college would provide every possible help to the sportspersons.

He said the college has won “Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Trophy” for the sixth time and “Rajkumari Amrit Kaur Trophy” thrice. 

He said the Punjabi varsity has awarded Rs 3,52,000 cash prize to the college for obtaining highest scores and maximum participation in various kinds of sports.
