Students of Class IX of MRA Modern Public School accorded a farewell to students of Class X. The party began with ‘tikka’ ceremony. Students presented a cultural programme which included dance, songs and ramp walk. The day ended with Prerna being crowned as Ms Graceful, Himanshu was bestowed with the title of Mr Elegant. School Principal Neetu Arora advised the children to equip themselves with values, culture, empathy, self-control and self-discipline.

Sacred Heart, Chandigarh

Students of Sacred Heart shared toys, story books and sweets with underprivileged children of Mauli Jagran village. They apprised the villagers of welfare schemes framed and implemented by the Social Welfare Department. This gesture of love and compassion was appreciated by Anil Kumar Dubey, counsellor of the village.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

Adamya Chauhan, from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, has cleared the NTSE-level one 2018-19. School Principal Gulshan Kaur blessed him and congratulated the teachers.

Valley Public, Panchkula

Valley Public School celebrated the Mother Language Day. A special morning assembly was conducted. Poems and lectures were delivered in Punjabi. Students talked about keeping the language alive.

Moti Ram Arya Model, Chandigarh

Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27-A, Chandigarh, organised a lecture on stress management by Dr Sachin Parab (Consultant Trainer, MG Hospital) at the school auditorium for students and teachers of Classes VI to XI. The talk was organised in co-ordination with the medical wing of Brahmakumaries to relieve the stress of students and teachers.

Jainendra Public, Panchkula

To bid adieu to the senior-most class of Jainendra Public School, a farewell party was organised. The outgoing batch was touched by the warmth extended to them by principal and teachers. Games were organised for them. Students were dressed in bright hues and the atmosphere was filled with fun and frolic. The head girl proposed a vote of thanks. Principal Saroj Sharma wished good luck to students for their bright future and motivated them to face challenges with courage and determination. The function concluded with a lunch.

Aanchal International, Chandigarh

Aanchal International School celebrated International Mother Language Day. Students recited poetries and quotes in their mother tongue. They also participated in paper-reading competition held at their respective classes.

The British School, Panchkula

Students and staff of The British School, Panchkula, wished luck to the students of Class X. Students of Class VIII, IX and XI threw a good luck party for them. A cake-cutting ceremony was held.

Aksips-125, Kharar

A special assembly was conducted by Class III to mark the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu. Students spoke about the life history of the Nightingale of India. They explained about her scholarships and extraordinary talent. Students recited poems written by Sarojini Naidu.

Sharda Sarvhitkari, Chandigarh

International Mother Language Day was celebrated in school to promote linguistic and cultural diversity. Students of Class VII and VIII presented a play depicting the importance of mother tongue. Students of Class VIII recited poems. tns
