Chandigarh: The Alumni Association of the PGGC-11, in collaboration with NSS and NCC units, organised a career guidance and motivational workshop on ‘Career options in the Armed Forces’ on Thursday. Colonel KS Kondal, an alumnus of the college, was the speaker for the occasion. Kondal shared his views regarding the rich tradition of the college in serving the Indian Armed forces in various capacities. In his address, Col Kondal informed the audience not only about the recruitment procedure in the Indian forces, but also gave a review of the life inside and outside the forces.

Disabled-friendly flooring

Chandigarh: As a move towards creating disable-friendly infrastructure, Government Home Science College in the city revamped its flooring with vitrified tactile paving tiles to make it friendly for the disabled. —TNS
