Met Dept predicts hot weather for two days

CHANDIGARH: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, has predicted hot weather for the next two to three days in the city.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, has predicted hot weather for the next two to three days in the city. The day temperature will hover around 25°C.

“Thereafter, a cycle of western disturbances would reach Chandigarh and its neighbouring states. On February 24, some areas of Punjab will experience rain and higher reaches will see snowfall,” said Surender Paul, Director, IMD, Chandigarh, adding that the city might experience rain too.

“After this cycle of western disturbances, the temperature would remain around normal till the end of the month. But in March, the temperatures will again rise,” he said.

Meanwhile, the day temperature in the city was recorded at 24.9°C, which is two degrees above normal, and the night temperature at 8.8°C.
