MCI inspection at GMCH-32

Officials of the Medical Council of India (MCI) conducted an inspection at the Gynaecology Department of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32 here today.

The Gynaecology Department is currently without any head since the retirement of Dr Anju Huria. The Director-Principal of the GMCH-32, AK Janmeja, is currently the administrative head of the department. Sources said the MCI officials visited the department during the afternoon and the inspection continued till the evening. The authorities remained tight-lipped about the inspection and the objections raised by the MCI officials.
