MC committee meets waste collectors

Chandigarh, December 5 

The committee constituted by the Municipal Corporation for seeking the views of all stakeholders regarding the scheme of solid waste management in the city held its meeting under the chairpersonship of Raj Bala Malik today.

The committee called representatives of the waste collectors to know their views in respect of the scheme proposed by the MC. The committee listened and discussed their demands/suggestions and called them to the next meeting scheduled to be held on December 7 at the MC conference hall.

The committee members have to submit a report on waste collectors’ view to the Mayor within a week. 

The other members of committee who attended the meeting were Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Anil Kumar Dubey, Mahesh Inder Singh Sidhu, Farmila and Anil Kumar Garg, Additional Commissioner, MC, and convener of the committee. — TNS
