Two unknown persons robbed a man of his Splendor motorcycle, Rs 15,000 in cash and other valuables near the Kajheri chowk here on Tuesday night.

According to the police, the complainant, Soami Pandit, a resident of Sector 56 who works as a mason, reported that he had gone to Attawa to receive a payment of Rs 15,000. Later, he had drinks with his friends there.

Around 9:45 pm, the victim left for his home on his motorcycle. However, on reaching near the Kajheri chowk, adjacent to Sector 53, two people asked him to stop the bike on the pretext of seeking a lift.

The complainant said the duo then forcibly took his bike and a bag containing Rs 15,000 and escaped from the spot.

The police said the victim was in an inebriated condition and could not narrate the incident properly.

On the basis of the complaint, a DDR has been lodged at the Sector 36 police station. The police have started investigating the matter.
