Man booked for assaulting brother-in-law

A resident of a village in Dera Bassi was injured in an attack by his brother-in-law at his in-laws’ house in Mani Majra. 

According to the police, the complainant, Rajan of Jarout village, Dera Bassi, alleged that he was attacked by his brother-in-law Vikas, alias Prince. 

The victim had gone to his in-laws’ house in the city when the accused allegedly attacked him with a sharp weapon, leaving him injured. The incident was reported on August 12. 

The police investigated the matter. On August 19, a case under Sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC was registered against Vikas at the Mani Majra police station. — TNS
