Mohali: The annual athletics meet for the junior wing of Learning Paths School, Mohali, was held at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh, wherein students from Class I to V took part in various competitions such as long jump, medicine ball throw and standing board jump. The meet was declared opened with a march past by students, followed by a torch relay amid cheers and applause. “Such endeavors inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and understanding among students,” said Nutan Budhiraja, Principal, Learning Paths School.

ATS Valley

Dera Bassi: To inculcate the spirit of honesty, integrity and responsibility, exams were conducted for the students of Class IX of ATS Valley School, Dera Bassi, without invigilation. Students were motivated to work gaining moral values and implementing them in day-to-day activities.

Maharishi Dayanand

Chandigarh: Pollution Prevention Day is celebrated in December to make people aware about the drastic effects of pollution. To aware the students, Maharishi Dayanand Adarsh Vidyalaya organised different competitions such as declamation and slogan writing. A rally was also organised in which students participated with zeal and enthusiasm.

SKY World School

Panchkula: Students of Class VIII went to Ambala for a life-skills workshop conducted by ‘Triniti’. Ritu Singal, who has won the award for best woman entrepreneur, guided the students on how to avoid distractions in life and become focussed and inclined towards their goals. Ketan Bhagat, a writer, amazed the students with his storytelling skills. He broadened their horizons towards spirituality by explaining its aspects of duality and time. Students were given gifts and they enjoyed meeting the two personalities.

Manav Mangal

Chandigarh: Two-day annual cultural fiesta — ECLAT ’18 — of Manav Mangal High School, Sector 21-C, Chandigarh, began at the auditorium of Manav Mangal Smart School, Sector 64, Mohali, on Thursday. Students entertained the audience with various cultural items. The fiesta began with a presentation highlighting the achievements of students in scholastic and co-scholastic areas. To make the event more glorious, students thanked the Almighty with a prayer dance. TNS
