LCC lift Bhagat Singh T20 trophy

Livewire Coaching Centre (LCC) won Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Trophy after defeating Mohali Cricket Club by 19 runs in the final match here today. 

Batting first, LCC scored 155/4 in 20 overs, Harvinder Singh Nain leading the charge with a brisk 52. 

Abhishek Bhateja hit 36, while Arun Luthra smashed a quick-fire 30. 

In reply, Mohali boys fall short of the target by 19 runs as Saksham Kamboj (3/23), Abhishek Bhateja (2/1), Nain (2/12) and Sabhya Sachi (2/23) struck vital blows to restrict the opponents to 137 runs. 

St. Joseph’s log 79-run win

Aryan Duggal’s hat-trick went in vain as St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, put up a combined effort to beat Gurukul Global School, Manimajra, by 79 runs in their last league match of the St. Xavier’s Cricket Cup here today. 

Batting first, St. Joseph’s managed a modest 135 in 20 overs as Gurukul bowlers led by Duggal made regular inroads into the opposition line-up, claiming  four wickets, including a hat-trick. 

Gurukul boys, in reply, were bowled out for just 56 runs in 11.1 overs, with Aryan, Nihar, Jasjot, Ishan Gaba and Kavya claiming two wickets apiece for St. Joseph’s. — TNS
