Chandigarh, May 10

Ramneet, the Bhartiya Kisan Party’s candidate from Chandigarh in the Lok Sabha elections, released her manifesto today.

For her, the main agenda would be to introduce a helpline and a dedicated call centre for citizens to suggest changes in the governance of the city and lodge complaints.

The 41-year-old social worker said she represented the “educated middle and upper-middle class.” However, she emphasised that she wanted to work, especially for the “residents of the colonies surrounding Chandigarh, such as Bapu Dham and Dhanas.”

“Some of the best minds from Chandigarh have to go to Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi to work. This should not happen,” she said.

Asked whether she was going to hold any rally in order to garner support, she said, “Only national parties have the funds for such display of power”.

She added that the party was a Rajasthan-based organisation. — TNS
