Kirron slips at airport, fractures shoulder

Chandigarh, August 11

Member of Parliament and Bollywood actor Kirron Kher suffered a minor fracture in her right shoulder when she slipped at the Chandigarh International Airport in Mohali on Saturday afternoon.

Kirron had gone to the airport to receive Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

Sources said Kirron fell outside the arrival hall while she was rushing to receive Mahajan whose flight had arrived ahead of schedule.

Sources said she slipped over uneven tiles while she was walking quickly. However, she continued to walk her way to the arrival hall and received the Speaker. Then, she also accompanied Mahajan to the Raj Bhawan.

As she complained of pain, she was later taken to the GMCH in Sector 32 where she underwent an X-ray examination, which revealed a minor fracture in her right shoulder.

She was given medication and doctors advised her to take rest. “I am fine and will be back to work soon,” said Kirron. — TNS
