Kher’s strategist does it again

MP Kirron Kher’s closest aide and political strategist Sahdev Salaria is the man who ran the show for her behind the stage this time.

For Salaria, who, after last November’s controversy in which two groups had fired shots at a city club on his birthday, preferred to stay away from the limelight and devoted himself to preparing for the polls in the past few months. 

It started six months ago when the BJP youth leader first formed a young core team comprising human rights activist, lawyer, ex-journalist and others.

“We then identified 300 volunteers and formed their team. Ten youths for one booth was our strategy. We held 2,000 nukkad meeting but did not publicised it online or in the media. The concept was an inspiration from a film titled ‘300’,” said Salaria, whom the MP appreciated during a press conference today.

He said, “The party workers had to be motivated as it was being circulated that she is a weak candidate. We believe in the leader who is honest and straightforward. We held promotional campaigns and made masses aware of her work to beat the wrong perception being built around her.”

The 27-year-old had joined RSS shakha eight years ago. Ahead of the 2014 elections, he was asked to assist Kher. Since then, he has been managing her affairs.

“I am very happy that we won despite many hurdles. My motto was to be fearless and work hard,” he added.
