Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector 29, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Environment Department, celebrated World Heritage Day. A fancy dress competition and a poster-making competition was organised for the students on the topics — great personalities of India and heritage of India.

Shishu Niketan, Chandigarh

Students of Shishu Niketan Public School, Sector 43-A, Chandigarh, along with their teachers, celebrated Earth Day with enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitise the students towards their role in addressing global environment challenges at grass-root level. A drawing competition was also held for Classes I and II on the occasion.

Manav Rachna, Mohali

World Book Day was celebrated at Manav Rachna International School, Mohali. The Kindergarten students were introduced to different parts of a book through a small video. The students read their favourite books, watched and listened to stories online. The students of Classes VII and VIII exchanged old books with their friends.

Satluj Public, Panchkula

International Dance Day was celebrated at Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula. The aim was to promote the art of dance. In view of keeping the students motivated to dance, the students danced in the assembly with enthusiasm.

Gurukul Global, Chandigarh

Students of Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, brought laurels to the school by bagging significant positions in the NSTSE, Hindi and French Olympiads. In NSTSE, four students secured the first rank in UT and won pre-paid scratch card worth Rs 400 each, a CD, gold medal and appreciation certificates. In Hindi Olympiad, eight students clinched gold medal and seven bagged clinched silver and bronze medal each. In French Olympiad, five students clinched gold medal, three students silver and bronze medal each.

Saint Soldier, Chandigarh

Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, celebrated Earth Day by organising a myriad of eco-friendly activities. The students of Class V-B conducted a morning assembly to demonstrate their support for environmental protection. Through a captivating skit on global warming, the students exhibited their concern for the mother earth.

Learning Paths, Mohali

Learning Paths School, Mohali, organised various activities to celebrate World Book and Copyright Day. The students of UKG and Class I were treated to an enthralling session of story-telling. Students of the Primary Wing made bookmarks and hand puppets of their favourite story characters.

DAV-8, Chandigarh

Students of DAV Public School, Sector -8C, Chandigarh, celebrated Earth Day with enthusiasm. Each class celebrated the day under different themes such as colouring of earth and making a model of earth with craft papers. Senior students made posters and collages to mark the day. Principal Jaskiran Harika was also present on the occasion.
