AMBALA:Nitish, an inmate in the Central Jail, here, was held with a mobile phone, battery and a SIM card during a routine checking on the jail premises, the district police said here on Tuesday.

Nitish, an inmate in the Central Jail, here, was held with a mobile phone, battery and a SIM card during a routine checking on the jail premises, the district police said here on Tuesday.

Central Jail Deputy Superintendent Vivek Sangwan reported to the police that the inmate was held with the electronic gadget during the checking on Monday.

The police have lodged a case under relevant provisions of the law against the accused, the officials said.
