ITBP’s North-West Frontier celebrates 13th Raising Day

The North-West Frontier of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) celebrated its 13th Raising Day here today. Several ceremonial and social events were organised to mark the occasion.

As many as 25 officers and personnel of various formations under the frontier, who were conferred with the Director General’s Commendation Roll and Insignia for their service in different fields during the past year, were honoured at a ceremonial parade.

Felicitating the ITBP personnel on the occasion, Inspector General, heading the North West Frontier, Arvind Kumar, called upon them to be more vigilant towards their duties and strive for professional excellence. Former ITBP personnel also attended the event.

The North-West Frontier came into existence on February 20, 2007. The Frontier has three sector headquarters and 13 units in Ladakh, Kashmir Valley, Jammu, Punjab and Delhi under its operational and administrative control. It is responsible for guarding the Indo-China border as well as undertaking internal security duties.
