Mohali: Indus Public School celebrated Lohri with religious fervour and enthusiasm. The mood on the campus was upbeat and students were absorbed in the festive spirit. A special assembly was conducted wherein a few students showcased their oratory skills, recited poem and delivered a speech on Lohri. A bonfire was lit by the school principal. Melodious songs and bhangra was presented by students. The senior wing students stole the show by singing ‘Sunder Munderiye. The school CEO Col SPS Cheema joined the students.

Shishu Niketan PUBLIC SCHOOL

Chandigarh: Lohri was celebrated at Shishu Niketan Public School, Sector 43-A, Chandigarh, with fervour. A special assembly was conducted by the students wherein the story of Lohri was narrated. Popular songs in the praise of ‘Dulha Bhatti’ were sung. A bonfire was lit and prayers were offered. Later, ‘revari’ , ‘gachak’, ‘groundnuts’ and ‘popcorns’ were distributed among the students.

The Millennium School, MOHALI

Mohali: Principal Jasleen Kaur Sabharwal inaugurated the Lohri function by lighting a bonfire. Foot-tapping dances, traditional songs, colourful dresses, popcorn and groundnuts distribution marked the occasion.

ATS Valley School, DERA BASSI 

Dera Bassi: Lohri festival was celebrated at the school in a traditional way. Teachers and students sang the traditional song ‘Dulla Bhatti Wala’ and the principal lit the fire. Students emjpyed dancing on the beats of dhol.

The Knowledge Bus Global School

Kharar: Lohri was celebrated at The Knowledge Bus Global School, Mohali, with zeal and enthusiasm. The mood on the campus was upbeat and students were absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. A special assembly was conducted.  tns
