Humanities has three toppers, commerce two

With competition in academics getting tighter each day, the number of toppers has increased. No one seems to want to be second best and hence there is a tie in commerce as well as humanities stream in the tricity. Humanities stream has a three-way tie with Kritika Chaudhary, Pragati Sharma and Noor Kumar scoring 98.2 per cent apiece. Kritika and Pragati are from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, Noor Kumar is a student of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9. In commerce, there is a tie between Aditya Jain and Mannat Luthra.

While non-medical topper is Bhoomi Sawant with 99.4 per cent, medical topper is Kaashvi of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, with 98.4 per cent. She is the lone topper from Panchkula in the tricity with all other top positions being bagged by students of Chandigarh’s schools. Kaashvi had taken up medical as well as non-medical subjects for the love of it. She is appearing for entrance exams of MBBS as well as engineering and is yet to decide what to choose.
