Chandigarh, September 20

A car designated to the Chief Secretary’s (CS) office, Haryana, was issued a traffic violation information slip (TVIS) by the UT police for using a net on the rear windscreen.

A person had posted the picture of the vehicle on the UT police’s Twitter handle showing the net on the rear windscreen of the car. The picture was clicked near the Railway light point.

The UT police issued a postal challan to vehicle number HR 36S 0001. Sources said there were several vehicles designated to the CS office and this vehicle was not used by the Chief Secretary.

This is not the first time that a Haryana Government vehicle had been issued a challan. Earlier, a vehicle designated to the Haryana DGP was issued a TVIS for a similar offence after a city resident posted the picture on Twitter. — TNS
