Chandigarh, March 27

The Chandigarh Administration has declared a public holiday tomorrow (March 28) on account of Ram Navami under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

Meanwhile, confusion prevailed among parents and their wards whether or not private and aided schools will also be closed tomorrow. Efforts to contact the Director, Public Instructions (Schools), KK Bhadoo, till late in the night proved futile.

HS Mamik, president of the Private Schools Association, said they had not received any communication from the Education Department in this regard.

“There will be confusion among parents and students tomorrow morning,” said Mamik.
