A motorcyclist was killed when he fell down from the Nangal Chowk overbridge after being hit by a car here today.

The victim, Krish Arora, aka Kunal (25), a resident of Sector 39, Chandigarh, was returning with his friends after visiting Kikkar Lodge Resort in the Nurprur Bedi area. When he reached the Nangal Chowk overbridge at Rupnagar, a car hit him from the rear side after which he lost control over the motorcycle and fell down from the overbridge and died on the spot. The car driver fled from the spot. A case under Section 304 A and 427 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the car driver. — TNS
