Panchkula, October 16

“Panchkula will decide how far vote of women matters. Madhu Anand is a legend, a symbol of struggle against women harassment and women strength.”

This was stated by Swaraj India Party chief Yogendra Yadav during a roadshow organised by the party in Panchkula. Madhu Anand, CPI leader Karam Chand, former general secretary, All India Democratic Women Association, Jagmati Sangwan, also a well-known women activist of Haryana, actively participated in the show that travelled across Panchkula via Maheshpur, Sector-20 market, Sector 7, 8,9,10,12, and Industrial Area.

Madhu had fought the DGP Rathore case and provided justice to Ruchika, which was an example of her fight for women safety and tireless efforts towards public welfare, said Yogendra Yadav.

Haryana would be lucky to have someone like Madhu Anand to represent women’s power in the Assembly, he added.

Speaking on the occasion Madhu Anand said, “We will together take Panchkula to its goals. From unemployment to cleanliness, we will execute framework for all issues. Our party, on its win, will coordinate with people of individual areas and solve their problems.”

Karam Chand said, “If people don’t ask questions now, then the time will be gone. Madhu’s past and her struggle has led us to support her candidature and the party. We believe that from street vendors to shopkeepers and common man everyone will lead a better life with Madhu’s win.”

Meanwhile, all women members associated with the party organised a Pink March in different sectors of Panchkula. The aim of the march was to emphasise on the importance of women safety, education, and improve garbage management, which are the key issues of Panchkula and Swaraj India.
