The police have registered a case against six men for tampering with records of a jeweller, hacking into his computer software and committing a fraud to the extent of Rs 1 crore.

Manish Aggarwal, complainant, told the police that for the past some time, they were observing that some ornaments were missing from their shop. Employees failed to give a satisfactory reply. Harsh, a former employee, informed that Ashish Yadav, old computer operator, used to have information of every transaction. The complainant said Ashish used to log in to the software and tamper with the records. He allegedly did this with the help of some employees.

They used to send bogus customer to the shop, who used to purchase ornaments on credit. An entry used to be made in the system. The accused used to log in to the system, either used to delete that entry or reduce the weight.
