Golf camp for kids

Chandigarh: A two-day golf camp for kids will be conducted at the Chandigarh Golf Club from October 27. Golfers aged between 6 and 16 years, both members and non members, will be eligible to attend the camp, the organisers said here on Tuesday. The camp will be conducted by coach Ajay Gujral and the participants will be taught the basics of the sport. The interested golfers need to register for the camp before October 26. TNS

Basketball c’ship from Oct 26 

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Basketball Association will organise the Sub-Junior State Basketball Championship from October 26-29 at New Public School, Sector 18. Players born on or after January 1, 2005, will be eligible to participate in the championship, the sports body said here on Tuesday. The interested teams need to send their entries to the organisers before October 25, the sports body added. TNS

Chess meet on Oct 28  

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Chess Academy will organise the Open Children Chess Tournament at British Council, here, on October 28. The meet will be held in U-15, U-12 and U-9 age-groups in both boys’ and girls’ categories, the organisers said here on Tuesday. Raj strikes for Doon School  

Mohali: Raj Shekhar scored four goals as Doon International School, Sector 69, drubbed Gurukul World School, Sector 69, 4-0 in the Suchinta Khorana Memorial Seven-a-Side U-15 Football Trophy here on Tuesday.
