Give details of shrine board nominees: HC to Haryana

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed Haryana and its functionaries to furnish the details of persons nominated to the management of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board.

Taking up a petition filed by Ram Murti and others, a Division Bench of the High Court said the affidavit to be filed in response to its directions would contain an explanation on the mode of selection of persons nominated to the Board.

It would also contain the details of their qualifications, and the procedure adopted for short-listing them.

The Bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice Sudhir Mittal also directed the respondents to furnish the details of “how much part of the donation amount was spent on providing salary/honorarium, vehicles to the persons nominated on the Board”.

The Bench also called for the year-wise details of the donation received in cash or kind for the past 10 years. “The details of the employees of the Board, who have been attached with the nominated members, be also furnished” the Bench added.
