Girl among two arrested with intoxicants

Zirakpur, February 19

The Baltana police yesterday arrested two persons, including a girl, with intoxicant tablets and five injections.

The accused have been identified as Deepak Nain and Isha, both residents of Sector-4, Panchkula.

The police had laid a naka near Baltana yesterday evening. The accused, who were coming on their Activa bearing a registration number of Haryana, tried to divert their route after seeing the police.

On suspicion, the police apprehended them and during the checking of the Activa, the police recovered intoxicant tablets and five injections from their possession. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against them at the Baltana police post. — OC
