The Federation of Sectors’ Welfare Association Chandigarh (FOSWAC ) opposed the laying of paver blocks, contending that it would harm the green cover and lead to the non-absorption of water.
He further said in the past a few years, no improvement in civic amenities was made. The meeting was held at the Community Centre in Sector 19, Chandigarh
FOSWAC members also paid tributes to the CRPF martyrs killed in Pulwama, jammu & Kashmir.
The chairman of the organisation, Baljinder Singh Bittu, said in the past years, no improvement has been made in civic amenities. “City residents are being burdened with heavy taxes. The public money is being wasted ruthlessly.
