An open revolt by the ruling party MLAs, particularly in the home district of Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh, shows general public discontent against the present state government. The Congress MLAs are describing the government functioning most inefficient and corrupt.

This was stated by Bir Devinder Singh, former Deputy Speaker and senior vice-president of the SAD (Taksali), while talking to mediapersons at his residence in Kotla Bhai Ka village today after addressing a gathering at function.

The function was organised to formally instal district president of the SAD (Taksali) youth wing. Harsukhinder Singh Badal (Bubby Badal), president, SAD (Taksali) youth wing also addressed the gathering.

Bir Devinder appealed to MLAs of all political parties, who had grievances against functioning of the government to unite on the pattern of Maharashtra leaving aside their own parochial agendas and form a broad alliance under the joint leadership in order to provide an alternate political arrangement in the larger interest of the state.

“It is unfortunate that the governance has virtually collapsed as in every major or minor incident of corruption, drug menace and gangsterism it is men in uniform, who are involved as agent provocateurs despite the fact that Home Ministry is headed by the Chief Minister himself,” he added.

“There is complete collapse of the chain of command in the police and bureaucratic hierarchy that’s why political wings headed by legislators of the ruling party are crying foul and that too at crescendo,” he said.

He urged the DGP to screen police in a timeframe manner to weed out black sheep from the department as this was the right time.

Latter, addressing the gathering Bir Devinder Singh exhorted people to unite under the vast umbrella of the ‘Panth’ to liberate the SGPC from clutches of the Badal family. He announced that SAD (Taksali) would endeavour to bring all likeminded ‘Panthic’ outfits under one banner to bring qualitative change in the management of the SGPC as per the Sikh traditions.

Harsukhinder Singh Badal (Bubby Badal) formally launched the district SAD (Taksali) youth wing on the occasion. Jagjiwan Singh Himatpura was appointed president of the youth wing for Fatehgarh Sahib.

Badal said organising structure of the SAD (Taksali) at the district and block level was being knitted on war footing.
