Follow traffic rules, students told

CHANDIGARH: The UT traffic police today organised a “women helmet rally” as part of the 30th Road Safety Week-2019 being observed from February 4 to 10 on the theme, “Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha”.

The UT traffic police today organised a “women helmet rally” as part of the 30th Road Safety Week-2019 being observed from February 4 to 10 on the theme, “Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha”.

Savita Bhatti flagged off the rally from MCM College, Sector 36, here. Around 300 women two-wheeler riders participated in the rally.

The rally went through various sectors to promote the use of helmet among women two-wheeler riders. Two hundred helmets were also gifted to women riders on the occasion.

The Traffic Police also organised a lecture on traffic rules at Ryan International School in Sector 49 here. Inspector Sri Prakash sensitised the students to the traffic rules. The inspector also asked the students to follow traffic rules to ensure their safety.
