Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Kirpal Singh Badungar lauded the efforts of Rajinder Singh, an NRI Sikh, and Vanessa Choe, a China-based woman, for the translation of Japji Sahib in Chinese language. Badungar said with the translation of Japji Sahib in Chinese language, the eternal words of Guru Nanak Dev would reach across the world.

He said, "Guru Nanak Devji has always taught us humanism and communal harmony in his preaching and it will benefit Chinese people where they recognise him as Baba Fusa."

The SGPC chief said the organisation would honour them both as per Sikh traditions. He said the committee had also been trying to spread the preaching of all Sikh Gurus across the world and efforts were on for the translation of Guru Granth Sahib in various languages of the world.
