The Punjab Housing and Urban Department earned a sum of Rs 81.28 crore from e-auction of various properties offered by its special development authorities included PDA, GMADA, GLADA, ADA, JDA and BDA, here.

Giving information, the spokesperson for the department said a total of 91 properties, including a school site located in Ludhiana and semi-built-up residential flats, booth sites, SCOs, SCS, shops and residential plots located in Mohali, Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Amritsar, Khanna, Nabha, Sangrur, Mansa, Malout and Amargarh were sold in the e-auction.

“Revenue to the tune of Rs 38 crore in GLADA, Rs 15.35 crore in BDA, Rs 10.91 crore in PDA, Rs 10.34 crore in JDA, Rs 4.78 crore in GMADA and Rs 1.90 crore in ADA has been generated in the auction. Besides a school site, measuring 1,672.86 sq m, located in Sector 39, Samrala road, Ludhiana, has been auctioned for Rs 4.16 crore,” said the official.

He said under the jurisdiction of GMADA, a semi-built-up residential flat located in Sector 48-C, measuring 134.85 sq m was auctioned for Rs 1.32 crore.

“The department has decided to conduct e-auctions from 1st to 10th of every month to curb artificial inflation of prices and to provide ample opportunities to genuine buyers,” said the official.
