The Dev Samaj College for Women, established in 1981, is a NAAC-Accredited 'A' grade institution in Sector 45. Other than nine regular courses, it offers 10 diploma courses. The college has planned to go co-ed but the file for the same is pending with the Department of Higher Education.

The college has a fine arts studio, psychology lab, fashion designing lab, two physics labs, chemistry lab, cosmetology lab, seminar room and two music rooms. Also, it has smart classrooms, a digital language lab and computer labs equipped with 200 computers. A UGC Network Resource Centre for staff and students is also provided on the campus.

Fully computerised and air-conditioned library with approximately 20,000 books and 110 periodicals is available for the students. An outdoor and indoor sport along with a state of art gymnasium is also present on the campus. The college students participate in extra-curricular activities and youth festivals as well.

It offers freeship to national and international players. In sports, two students, Diksha and Ukardeep of  the PGDCA, attended India camp in kayaking and canoeing in Bhopal. Ukardeep Kaur and Diksha Kalia have won six silver and six bronze medals in All-India Inter-University Tournament in different events of kayaking.

The college team has won inter-college championship in handball as well. Seven players were awarded Rs 2, 50,000 from Panjab University, Chandigarh, in different games in All-India Inter-University Level.

The college conducts workshops and seminars on regular-basis and has many clubs and societies like Career Guidance and Counseling Cell, Grievance and Anti Ragging Cell, Womens' Cell, Counseling (helpline) Psychology- Samvedna, Rotaract club, Dear Club, Red Ribbon Club, Fine Art (Kalakriti), Literary Society, Music Club, Green Planet, Press Club, Mathematics Club, Alumni Association- Virasat, Faishon Designing Club, D- Masters Club, Management Club, Health Care Unit, Science Club.
