Prof Sanjay Kaushik, who has been given the additional charge of the Dean College Development Council (DCDC), on Tuesday acted on the recommendations of the Panjab University’s Affiliation Committee and sent a communication to the Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, intimating that their BBA and BCA courses would not be affiliated.

The committee recommended that the BBA and BCA courses at the college had been denied affiliation in the previous two meetings too and asked the university authorities to act as per rules. The college admitted students in the first and third semesters of BBA and BCA, but applied for affiliation later. They applied for affiliation in August 2018, whereas they should have applied for it by October 31, 2017. There are 40 students in BBA-I and BCA-I semester each.

Prof JK Sehgal, Principal, PGGC-46, wrote to the PU that in an earlier letter, where permission for BSc (non-medical) was sought, “the college inadvertently has not mentioned BBA and BCA course”. The panel had said affiliation could not be granted at this stage as the last date for submission of students’ return was September 30.
