DAV girls win handball opener

CHANDIGARH:DAV College, Sector 10, defeated Post Graduate Government College, Sector 42, 15-2 on the opening day of Panjab University inter-college handball championship for women here today.

DAV College, Sector 10, defeated Post Graduate Government College, Sector 42, 15-2 on the opening day of Panjab University inter-college handball championship for women here today.

MCM DAV College, Sector 36, blanked KCW Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana, 18-0, while DAV College, Ferozepur, overwhelmed Panjab University Campus 18-8.

GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar, meanwhile, registered a 10-3 win over Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11, while it overcame Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, 16-9 in their second knock-out match of the day.

GHG Khalsa College, MCM DAV College, DAV College, (Ferozepur), and DAV College, Sector 10, have qualified for the league stage of the championship, which is scheduled to begin from tomorrow.
