DAV cricketers make it to national finals

Chandigarh: DAV College, Sector 10, won both their league matches here on Wednesday to make it to the national finals of the Red Bull Campus Cricket Championship. In the first match, DAV boys registered a 57-run win against Science College, Jammu, while they beat DAV College, Dehradun, by 38 runs in the second match. Electing to bat, DAV College, powered by Sanyam's 60-ball 87-run knock, scored 184/5 in 20 overs. Science College, in reply, could only manage 127/9. In the second match, the Sector 10 outfit scored 151/7 in the allotted overs. In reply, Dehradun boys were bowled out for 113 runs in 18.1 overs. In the last match of the day, DAV College, Dehradun, beat Science College by nine wickets. However, the side could not make it to the finals.
