DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, registered a seven-wicket win over Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 35, to win the won the Inter-School U-17 Cricket Championship here on Tuesday.
Batting first, GMSSS, Sector 35, were all out for 91 runs in 20 overs. Dipanshu was the pick of the bowlers for DAV School, claiming 4/18. Paras (2/13), Saksham (2/18) and Gurneet (2/18) took two wickets each.
In reply, DAV School reached home with seven wickets to spare. Jasanjot Singh made 46 runs, while Raj Angad cracked a 30. Sanskar claimed 2/17 for GMSSS, Sector 35. — TNS
