Daksh sets up title clash with Advit

CHANDIGARH:Daksh Kapoor humbled Sehaj Sharma 6-2 to set up the title clash with Advit Tiwari in the boys’ U-10 category at the Northridge Open Tennis Championship, here on Saturday.

Daksh Kapoor humbled Sehaj Sharma 6-2 to set up the title clash with Advit Tiwari in the boys’ U-10 category at the Northridge Open Tennis Championship, here on Saturday. 

Tiwari registered an identical win over Guhan Mehta. 

In the boys’ U-12 semifinal, Anuj Pal beat Mehraab Singh 6-4, while Ankit Sharma downed Bhavya 6-1.

Ira Chadha, meanwhile, edged out Aaradhya 4-1 to book a place in the girls’ U-10 semifinals. Gurmannat Kaur trounced Inaya Mittal 4-1 in another quarterfinal match. 

In the boys’ U-10 quarterfinals, Daksh Kapoor prevailed 4-2 over Savar Chauhan, while Guhan Mehta drubbed Hardik 4-0. Advit registered a 4-2 win over Angad.

Anuj Pal moved into the semifinals of the boys’ U-12 category after defeating Aryan Vij 4-1. Mehraab Singh beat Japnaam Singh 4-2, while Bhavya overcame Samarvir 5-4(3). Ankit Sharma packed off Divyam 4-2 in the quarters.
