Daksh, Aeshvi race to gold

Daksh Nayyer dominated the field in the boys’ U-7 category on the opening day of the Manav Mangal Speed Skating Carnival here on Saturday. Competing in the quads, Daksh pipped Deepanshu to clinch the gold medal. Ayaan Singla returned with the bronze. 

In the girls’ U-7 quads competition, Aeshvi Vashisht claimed the gold, while Kritika Sharma bagged the silver medal. Tanya Bhatnagar returned home with a bronze. 

In U-7 inline contest, Jap, Garvit and Krishav Kinra claimed the top-three positions respectively in the boys’ category, while Jaisleen Kaur topped the podium in the girls’ competition. Gaurvi Bansal followed in the second place, while Anantarjot bagged the third position.

Jaibhav topped the podium in the boys’ U-9 quads event. He was followed by Dhairya and Kamaljot Singh in second and third places respectively. 

Ishanvi Shekhar won the gold medal in the girls’ U-9 quads category. Harsirat claimed the silver, while Kashish had to be content with the bronze medal. 

In the boys’ U-9 inline competition, Hridey Makhija bagged the gold medal.  Divyansh Gupta clinched the silver and Paras Bhargav pocketed the bronze medal. 

Lavya, Harnoor and Ashkjeet claimed the top-three positions, respectively, in the girls’ U-9 inline contest.

  • Girls’ U-11 inline: 1st Ananya Ahuja, 2nd Anahita, 3rd Vaishnavi
  • Boys’ U-14 quads: 1st Daksh, 2nd Panav Mahajan, 3rd Shaurya 
  • Girls’ U-14 quads: 1st Shyran, 2nd Abhiruchi, 3rd Chahat Grover 
  • Boys’ U-14 inline: 1st Arshdeep, 2nd Deepanshu, 3rd Harshvardhan
  • Girls’ U-14 inline: 1st Adishree, 2nd Taqdeer, 3rd Yuviekaa
  • Boys’ U-14 quads: 1st Raghav, 2nd Aditya Dabas, 3rd Jashanpreet
