Cycle rally to mark car-free day today

CHANDIGARH:To observe car-free day, the Chandigarh Traffic Police in association with various cycling groups of the city will organise a cycle rally at 7 am on Saturday.

To observe car-free day, the Chandigarh Traffic Police in association with various cycling groups of the city will organise a cycle rally at 7 am on Saturday.

The 9-km-long rally will be flagged off from Sukhna Lake and culminate at IMA, Sector 35. The aim is to sensitise public to air pollution, noise pollution and traffic congestion. Participants are encouraged to wear everyday work clothing for taking part in this event to experience whether it is possible to move without cars.  — TNS
