Cop takes insult by SSP to WhatsApp

A UT inspector, deputed in the traffic wing, posted an agonising message on the official WhatsApp group of the Chandigarh Police claiming that he felt insulted after the SSP (Traffic) reportedly called him a “gadha” (donkey).

Inspector Dilsher Chandel posted a long message on WhatsApp stating that he felt insulted when SSP (Traffic) Shashank Anand used such language over some issue. 

The message read, “I am depressed today because we inspectors work for 15 hours daily and after completing 30 years of service, I cannot listen to such abusive language.” 

In his WhatsApp message, he stated that he was 54 years old and a grandfather, and at this age, being a senior Inspector, he had been insulted without any reason. 

He ended his message by stating that he did not want to serve in such a situation in this unit. “Sir, mera zameer nahin sun sakta galiyan.”

Inspector Chandel was not available for comments. Despite repeated attempts, the SSP (Traffic) could also not be contacted. 

The WhatsApp group in which the message was posted has the DGP, the DIG, the SSP, SPs, DSPs and inspectors as members.
