A businessman of Panchkula had a narrow escape when two shots were fired at his car from an SUV around 10 pm on Friday.

Parveen Gill, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Jind (Haryana), told the police that he ran a business of swimming pool and finance in Panchkula. On June 7, he was returning via Kharar from his farmhouse in Ropar in his Maruti Alto car. When he reached near Padiala village on the Kurali-Kharar road around 10 pm, an SUV

(Scorpio) hit his car from behind with the intention of killing him. At the same time, two shots were fired from the Scorpio at his car. Both bullets hit the boot of his car. He panicked and drove towards New Chandigarh via Kharar city. The Scorpio also followed him till Block Majri. 

Kurali City SHO Sandeep Kaur said an attempt-to-murder case had been registered against the unidentified driver.
