She said, “As all these things were going on, he emerged again and threatened me. Then he punched me in the face. I went unconscious for 15 to 20 minutes.”

Father apologises

“My son hasn’t reached home yet. He must be afraid. I was called by the school on Thursday. I couldn’t talk to the teacher concerned. Our whole family apologises to the teacher. I will guide my son. They can beat me up for my son’s offence,” said the student’s father, Subodh Jha. “The teacher doesn’t speak nicely to my son. He is being called a drug addict. She shouldn’t talk to him like this. My son only speaks a lot. However, he doesn’t take drugs or alcohol,” he said.

District Education Officer (DEO) Anujit Kaur said, “We have sought a report from the school. The student must be immediately suspended. However, he should be reformed. His parents have been called on Friday.”
