City to have 3 more multi-level parkings

CHANDIGARH: Mayor Davesh Moudgil has announced that the Municipal Corporation would construct three more multi-level parking in Sector 34, 22 and 17.

Mayor Davesh Moudgil has announced that the Municipal Corporation would construct three more multi-level parking in Sector 34, 22 and 17. The Mayor also vowed to make the city number one in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan this year.

Moudgil was speaking at a colourful function organised to mark Independence Day at the MC office in Sector 17 here on Wednesday. The Mayor, who was the chief guest on the occasion, unfurled the Tricolour.

The Mayor said the city residents would soon get additional water supply as the work on the project of improving the water supply was almost complete. He also listed various projects completed by the civic body and other developmental works that were being carried out in the city.

On the occasion, Moudgil and MC Commissioner KK Yadav awarded commendation certificates to various MC officials. The MC also honoured city residents Balwinder, Pragati Trikha, Amit Dewan, Jasjyot Singh Almast, Kuldeep Singh, Karan Vasudeva, Dewan Singh, Dr CK Jerath, Kusum Nehra and Niyati Gulia for their contribution to the society.

Senior Deputy Mayor Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, Deputy Mayor Vinod Kumar Aggarwal, additional commissioners Saurabh Mishra and Anil Kumar Garg, chief engineer Manoj Kumar Bansal, superintending engineers NP Sharma and Sanjay Arora, Medical Officer of Health Pardeep Vasesi, councillors, former mayors and councillors and prominent citizens attended the event.
