Mohali, February 2

In a reversal of its earlier announcement, Alliance Air (subsidiary of Air India) today said that due to ‘operational’ reasons, Chandigarh to Kullu flight, which had been suspended temporarily due to fog in the winter season, would only operate on February 5.

Yesterday, the airlines had announced resumption of 45-minute flight from February 5 to February 10.

Confirming the development, Air India local station manager RK Negi said: “There has been a change in the earlier announcement. Due to operational reasons, the Chandigarh-Kullu flight will operate on February 5 only.”

Air India had started the flight on October 13, 2017, but it was temporarily suspended due to inclement weather conditions. The airport will remain closed for runway repair from February 12-26.  — TNS
