Chitkara boys qualify for Subroto Cup

CHANDIGARH:Chitkara International School, Sector 25, and Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Khudda Lahora, have qualified for the Subroto Cup, scheduled to be held in New Delhi next month.

Chitkara International School, Sector 25, and Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Khudda Lahora, have qualified for the Subroto Cup, scheduled to be held in New Delhi next month. 

While Chitkara School dominated the Pre-Subroto U-17 Football Tournament in the boys' category, GMSSS, Khudda Lahora, claimed the top spot in the girls' competition. 

In the final on Friday, Khudda Lahora girls registered a 1-0 win over GMSSS, Sector 22. Anita scored the only goal of the match in the 23rd minute. 

In the boys' final, Chitkara International beat St Soldier International School, Sector 28, 2-0. After goalless first half, striker Gurnoor put Chitkara ahead in the 40th minute, while Sajan doubled the lead 15 minutes later.
