Chess c’ship from July 29

The Chandigarh Chess Association is organising Chandigarh U-19 and U-11 Open and Girls Chess Championship  from July 29. The two-day even will be held at Dr Ambedkar Bhawan, Sector 37. 

Following the championship, four boys and four girls in U-19 category will be selected to represent Chandigarh at the U-19 nationals to be held at Patna from September 3 to 11, while two boys and two girls will be picked for U-11 nationals to be held in Maharashtra from November 22 to 30. 

The interested players can register for the championship till July 28, the organisers said.
