Vendors have created chaos in almost all sectors of Chandigarh. They have destroyed original character of the City Beautiful. The number of vendors is increasing day by day in the city. A majority of vendors are migrants. The public should stop buying goods from footpath vendors. Their influx into the city must be curbed.

Post office sans services

The post office in the main market of Sector 20, Panchkula, does not stock postage stamps or postal stationery. Not to speak of 50 paise postcards, even Rs 5 envelopes and postal stamps are not available at the post office. Requests for booking speed post or registered letter are also turned down on one pretext or the other. Public interest demands that the post office like this one should be closed.
