CGC, Landran, win overall meet

Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, won the overall trophy during the Punjab Technical University inter-college weightlifting, powerlifting and best physique championship. In the best physique competition, CGC Landran team won the first position with 19 points while CGC Jhanjeri finished second with 11 points. Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Ludhiana, won the third position with six points.

Meanwhile, Sagar from Sai Institute of Pharmacy, Amritsar, won the Mr IKGPTU individual title for the best physique.In the powerlifting competition, CGC Landran took the first position with 16 points. Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), Phagwara, finished second with eight points. In the weightlifting competition, CGC team won the overall title with 32 points. RIET boys finished second with 11 points while CGC Jhanjeri claimed the third position with five points. —TNS
